You Can Make a Difference in the Lives of Many!
The Talbert Memorial Fund was created to honor the lives of Russell and Jalen Talbert, two young men who were taken much too young through acts of senseless violence.
To honor their lives we have created a partnership with the Yetunde Price Resource Center (YPRC). YPRC was created by Venus and Serena Williams and their family and is named for their late sister, also taken by an act of senseless violence. The Center, based in Compton, CA assists victims of senseless violence by ensuring they have access to all the resources that will help heal them physically, emotionally and financially. The Center also creates original programming when there is an unfilled need within the community.
The Talbert Memorial Fund will work with experts to create a curriculum specifically designed to work with young men of color who feel suffocated by the cycle of violence and what they see as bleak options for their future. This work will begin off site in Chicago and on site at the Center in Compton.
Would you consider making a tax-deductible donation to support and help us achieve our efforts?
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. The Driving Force Group will do the rest. The impact of your gift to the Talbert Memorial Fund may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
All donations will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
We thank you in advance for your generous support!
